Dear Mr. Sohail
Under very difficult circumstances, after almost 5 years I finally graduated from Rajshahi University in Business. I always wanted to study in private university but because of my poor financial never dreamed of any private University. Now that I am graduate, seems like I have more problem more worry especially finding a Job. The job can help my family and me. I am also in love with a beautiful junior also studying in Rajshahi University . Today, I am very much confused with JOB search and if I get a job how would I coup with cosmopolitan boys and girls in office. I am also very much worry for my parents who worked so hard to getting me through University and hoping to see me established and help them and my younger brother’s and sisters. I am totally at a loss. Please advice.

Oh boy! If I read your letter correctly seems you are in big trouble. Well! Let’s take one at a time.
First and foremost congratulations on your long awaited graduation. Let’s be honest, what do you care more about fame, glory, power or having a girlfriend. Take it from me my friend, there’s nothing more certain than a girl throwing in turmoil of uncertainty. I have seen so many talented individuals who have anchored themselves to the bottomless pits of infidelity. Women are like a pack of wolves feigning at your trust funds after they’ve slain the lamb. Women are Dante’s worst nightmares, she-wolfs who have nothing to offer but fraud and raucous raving of their trials and tribulations. Forget about the girl Syed, money can buy anything, I’ve seen it work, it’s extremely dysfunctional, but hey it’s the manifestation of macdonaldization. My old saying Zaman, efficiency, standardization and control are all characterization of the “cheddar,” know what I mean partner. Everybody is doing it right? Buying this and that and getting happy - see you don’t need women. Whoever said behind every successful man there is a women, yea that’s true, because he bought the perfect women. Women have been eating the apple of knowledge since the Genesis. God may have thrown Eve into eternal damnation, a very subtle consequence compared to what the great Sohail would have done. On the contrary, you seem like the family oriented dude. So your first priority should be securing your parents retirement fund
Parents & keen : Off course! It’s your responsibility and duty. And to meet your obligation and responsibility you need to get a job. So let us talk about your job and how you would coup with new job environment and culture.
You will see a lot more younger boys coming out of private universities who may probably make you nervous; But do not worry. Be calm and always think that you must climb up that corporate ladder. Forget you coming from Rajshahi. You must act naturally and courteous and constructive manner. Once you get a job follow simple rule;
- Discover your new office unwritten code
- Greet every one politely
- Introduce your self and shake hands and ask How do you do or how are you?
- Until you get acquainted with your associates always stand and greet who enters to your desk
- Regardless to your girl friend, romance and flirtation have no place in the office, so don’t!
- Speak politely
- Keep conversation honest and open
- Try understand your boss’s expectation time, schedule, habits, plans, goals and what important to him or her.
- Be friendly with your boss but remember not too much intimacy that can back fire.
- Accept criticism
- Pre-plan tact full discussion with your superior
- Be efficient and productive
